''I think that Tom is one of the most amazing people I have ever had the pleasure to meet, I work for Eastleigh Lakeside Railway and was involved in the 2008 charity event. This little lad has touched so many hearts with his incredible bravery, I honestly cannot read anything to do with his cause without a tear in my eye. He is a total inspiration to us all, let alone his peer group, when so many young lads his age are out on the streets committing crime and causing trouble he is raising money for charity. I am so proud of him and
cannot say enough not say wonderful things about him. He deserves a medal or at least public recognition for his bravery and courage at a time when most of us would just curl up in self pity. To turn such a tragedy into something so positive is incredible. Muddles is a very special person and I wish him every successful with all his ventures.'' - Rosemary Nelson
